FUTURE MAKERS FOR SUPPORTED LEARNERS

Legacy Remedial Tutors

As the world gets more and more complicated - sometimes a young person just needs to be HEARD, SEEN and UNDERSTOOD, in order to learn.

LEGACY REMEDIAL TUTORS, based in Johannesburg South Africa, works with young people from Grade 6- 9, who learn differently.

We walk the journey to success alongside your young person, supporting neurodiverse and learners with learning barriers, in an inclusive and caring environment.

OUR WHY

Tutoring always seems like a last resort - a desperate quick fix, just a couple of weeks before the exams or assessments.

At Legacy Remedial Tutors, we see support as a journey, building relationships and working alongside learners, parents and teachers to get the best out of every learner.

Today  11 % of learners under the age of 17 are diagnosed as neuro-atypical or as we like to say "Neuro talented" with diagnoses such as slow processing speeds, poor working memory, inability to focus in class, critical comprehension challenges and many more.

We are here to support.

OUR HOW

Connection before curriculum

In order to create a space for learning we need to connect with your child.

Once an intake form is completed and we have had the opportunity to analyse the needs of the learner, we will craft a learning journey for them.

A learning journey will take into account the age, strengths and challenges of the learner, their school environment and their unique learning style.

OUR WHO

Jenna is the front line contact for parents, the mother of a neuro-talented young man, she shares your journey, and is ready to match you with the correct tutor to make sure your child is surrounded by people who really care and understand your child.

Our team of tutors, who are trained and ready to assist your child, are lead by Joshua.  Joshua grew up in a home where education was the dinner table topic, and was privileged to work alongside neuro-talented young people most of his life.
